Para as crianças que têm alguma dificuldade em comer cereais integrais, esta é uma ótima solução – e doce, como tanto elas gostam! Esta receita é, na verdade, um dois em um, para vos mostrar como é fácil fazermos papas caseiras, com poucos ingredientes e ainda uma manteiga de amêndoa para topping.
Para a realização desta receita, utilizei a Varinha Mágica MQ9 da Braun que fez com que estas papas ficassem bem cremosas e a manteiga de amêndoa exatamente na consistência que adoro.

Não me canso de dizer o quão importante é demolhar cereais e leguminosas (ou, caso não seja possível, pelo menos lavar os cereais integrais). Desta forma, eliminamos o ácido fítico e permitimos que os nutrientes sejam mais facilmente absorvidos (como o ferro), que o tempo de cozedura seja menor e que sejam mais facilmente digeríveis. Caso não consigam demolhar pela falta de planeamento, aconselho a pelo menos lavarem em água abundante – vão perceber a quantidade de sujidade que se acumula nos grãos! A verdade é que todos os grãos, incluindo sementes e frutos secos, deveriam ser demolhados. Neste caso, como as amêndoas são tostadas, não há problema em serem consumidas e tiramos, na mesma, proveito dos seus benefícios.
INGREDIENTES:
- ½ cup de millet
- ½ cup de arroz integral
- 6 cups de água
- 2 maçãs
- Casca de limão
- Pau de Canela
- Bebida vegetal (opcional)
- 2 cups de amêndoa
PREPARAÇÃO:
-1. Começar por demolhar o arroz integral e o millet durante a noite. De manhã, descartar a água da demolha – aproveitar esta água para regar as plantas!
2. Preparar os restantes ingredientes – descascar as maçãs e fatiar grosseiramente, cortar um pouco de casca de limão (sem a parte branca, para não amargar) e um pau de canela.
3. Colocar todos os ingredientes num tacho e juntar 6 cups de água. Assim que levantar fervura, reduzir o lume e deixar até que fique tudo tenrinho – cerca de 30 minutos. Se os cereais não forem demolhados, o tempo poderá ser superior. Se necessário, juntar mais água a meio do tempo.
4. Quando tudo estiver tenrinho, desligar o lume, retirar o pau de canela e a casca de limão e triturar com a varinha mágica MQ9 da Braun até obter uma mistura cremosa. Se necessário, juntar um pouco de bebida vegetal.
5. Fazer a manteiga: Tostar as amêndoas no forno durante cerca de 10 minutos, tendo em atenção para não queimar. De seguida, triturar com a varinha mágica MQ9 da Braun. Primeiro, irá formar-se uma farinha, depois uma pasta e, seguidamente, manteiga. Este processo demora cerca de 5 minutos, sendo necessário ir raspando dos lados com o auxílio de uma colher de pau. Terminar de processar quando estiver com a textura e cremosidade desejada. Acrescentar canela e sal (opcional) e voltar a triturar para envolver. Servir como topping da papa de millet e guardar o restante num frasco hermético, num local fresco e seco.
